📸 Preparing for Your YFLH™ Baby Shoot
This short guide is designed to help you feel calm, comfortable, and ready for your session — while making space for real moments to unfold.
🕊️ The Vibe
YFLH™ baby shoots are quiet, minimal, and deeply human. I don’t overpose or direct heavily. I’ll guide gently when needed — but most of what I capture happens in-between.
You don’t need to perform. You don’t need to plan a Pinterest board. Just be present.
🕓 Timing
Sessions usually last about 1 hour
We’ll schedule around baby’s sleepy window or feed
If your little one needs a moment, we pause. No stress
☀️ Light
I shoot in natural light whenever possible
If indoors, a space near a large window or glass door is ideal
If outdoors, soft morning or late afternoon light is best
👶 What to Bring (or Have Nearby)
A simple swaddle, muslin blanket, or textured fabric in soft tones
A clean onesie or timeless outfit with no writing or logos
Your hands, your voice, your patience
Optional:
A favorite heirloom, book, or object you want to remember
A bottle or pacifier for calming
🎨 What to Wear (For You)
Soft, neutral, or muted tones photograph best
Avoid strong patterns or bold logos
Bare arms or flowy fabrics are lovely for skin-to-skin moments
Above all, wear what helps you feel comfortable and connected.
🛋️ Setting the Space
If we’re shooting in your home:
Clear clutter from a few simple areas: bed, floor, couch, window
You don’t need a magazine-perfect room — just a quiet corner with light
💡 Final Notes
There’s no such thing as too wiggly, too sleepy, or too unpredictable
These sessions aren’t about control — they’re about noticing
Your favorite little human™ already has everything they need
You’re doing great. I’ll take it from here.
