He Doesn’t Need Spectacle
July 02, 2025
He doesn’t need spectacle. He comes with wonder. You don’t have to sell it to him, or to me. He doesn’t need it dressed up. He’ll find the drawer, the light, the texture of wood against his gums. A moment doesn’t have to perform to earn his attention. He gives it freely because everything is new and nothing is trying too hard, unless it does. This is what it looks like before algorithms, before edits, before the pitch. Just wonder, arriving as he does, with both hands open.
